This email breaks down what they’re deciding (and how to fix it).
Here’s something most brokers don’t realize:
When someone lands on your profile, they make decisions before they read your content.
And those decisions are not always logical or conscious!
People visiting your social media for the first time are making instinctive decisions like:
Is this person active?
Do they work with people like me?
Do I trust them?
Do I know what to do next?
And those answers form in seconds.
This isn’t about having the perfect profile.
It’s about what your presence communicates at a glance.
For example:
An outdated profile can quietly signal “not very active”
A vague bio can signal “not sure if they help someone like me”
No clear next step can signal “I’ll look later” (spoiler: they won’t)
None of this means you’re doing anything wrong.
It just means your profile might not be doing you as many favours as it could.
And here’s the part most people miss:
Your content might be great, but if the entry point is confusing, people bounce before they ever see it.
That’s why perception matters just as much (or maybe even more) as posting.
Before you panic, you don’t need a rebrand, and you do NOT need to start over.
You usually just need:
Clear positioning
A visible next step
Alignment between what you post and what your profile promises
If you want help spotting what’s working (and what’s quietly getting in the way), I have a few spaces open next week for (free) quick Zoom coffee chats where we walk through your profile together.
Sometimes a second set of eyes is all it takes to unlock momentum.
