If marketing were a relationship, your first impression would be the first date. And most mortgage brokers aren’t losing clients because they’re bad at what they do (I mean... hopefully not?!)...
They’re losing them because their first impression is unclear, outdated, or confusing. Ie... they never get a "swipe right."
When someone lands on your profile or website for the first time, they’re subconsciously asking:
Are you active?
Do you help people like me?
Do I trust you?
Do I know what to do next?
Here are a few easy places to show your marketing some love this month:
❤️ Your profile photo
Does it still look like you? Clear, friendly, and current almost always perform better than overly polished or outdated.
❤️ Your name line + bio
Can someone tell who you help, where you help them, and how in under five seconds? If not, this is usually the biggest opportunity.
❤️ Your pinned post(s) or highlights
When someone lands on your profile, is it obvious what you specialize in and how to work with you?
❤️ Your website headline (or “above the fold” section)
You don’t need a new website (at least... probably not...), just clarity. One strong sentence that clearly explains what you do can make everything else work harder.
You don’t need to overhaul your marketing.
You just need alignment.
A few intentional tweaks now can make the rest of your content feel easier, clearer, and more effective, without adding more to your plate.
