Your website isn’t just a digital brochure... it’s one of your hardest-working marketing tools.
It builds trust and answers questions.
And (when it’s doing its job well) it quietly turns visitors into conversations.
But when a site feels outdated, cluttered, or confusing, it can unintentionally do the opposite.
The good news? You don’t need a full redesign to make meaningful improvements.
Here are 5 quick website fixes you can tackle right now to improve trust and conversions, no tech wizardry required!
1. Refresh Your Testimonials
Social proof builds trust fast.
Swap in more recent client testimonials, ideally with:
First names (with permission)
A location
Or a short context line (first-time buyer, renewal, self-employed, etc.)
Even updating one section on your homepage can make your site feel instantly more current.
2. Make Your Call-to-Action Obvious
Every page should answer one simple question:
👉 What should I do next?
Whether that’s booking a call, downloading a checklist, or requesting a rate review, make sure your CTA is:
Easy to spot
Clear in language
Repeated on longer pages
Clarity always converts better than cleverness.
3. Add a “Last Updated” Signal
You don’t need to show live rates to show relevance.
A simple line like:
“Market info updated May 2026”
…signals that you’re active, informed, and paying attention.
If you don’t show rates on your site, tell visitors why. Transparency builds trust.
4. Check Your Mobile Experience
Most visitors will see your site on a phone.
Do a quick scan:
Is the menu easy to tap?
Is text readable without zooming?
Does your booking link show up quickly?
Small fixes here can prevent big drop-offs.
5. Make Contact Effortless
Don’t make people hunt.
A simple contact option on every key page removes friction (friction kills conversions, so try to remove it at all costs).
One thing I’ll add before I go…
The social content we focus on inside Mortgage Marketing Club is meant to do the heavy lifting upfront... keeping you visible, familiar, and top of mind so when someone is ready, they already trust you.
Your website then gets to do what it does best: answer the final questions and make it easy to take the next step. That relationship between social and website matters more than most people realize.
And for context (since it comes up often): before Mortgage Marketing Club ever existed, I spent over a decade building and refining websites for service-based businesses, including mortgage brokers. So when members ask questions about their sites or need help beyond quick DIY tweaks, I’m happy to point them in the right direction... and yes, there’s a preferred member rate when hands-on help makes more sense.
If that’s something you ever want to explore, just reply and we can chat. No pressure, just support when you need it.
