I’m going to say something that's maybe a bit controversial, especially in the mortgage space! Oh and hi, if you're new here, I'm NOT a Mortgage Broker, but I have been helping brokers with their marketing for the past 15 years ;)

    Initiating rant in...
    3...
    2...
    1...

    Voice notes are not efficient.
They just feel efficient (for the person sending them).

Before anyone comes for me, let me explain 😂

A voice note assumes the recipient is:

    • available right now

    • in a quiet space

    • not in public

    • not with clients

    • doesn't need to re-listen three times to catch the point

And listen, I love a good voice note in the right context.
But when they show up unannounced, mid-day, mid-task, mid-life?

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't love a good voice note. Like... ever.

    It feels… intrusive.

    Like:
“Here, hold my thoughts while I talk at you for 2 minutes.”

Now here’s where this turns into a marketing lesson 👇

A lot of content works the same way.

Just because you feel inspired to post something doesn’t mean your audience is ready to receive it right now.

Just because you can show up loudly doesn’t mean it’s helpful.

The most effective marketing respects people’s time, attention, and energy.

    Clear beats loud.
    Concise beats chaotic.
    Predictable beats overwhelming.

That’s why consistency works better than random bursts of inspiration.

    It lets people engage:

    • When they have capacity

    • On their terms

    • Without feeling interrupted

Your content shouldn’t feel like a surprise voice note in a noisy room.

    It should feel like:
“Oh good... this showed up right when I needed it.”

And that’s the difference between being visible… and being valued.

    End rant 😌
